History of the company
1992 | SCHOELLER&HOESCH SAS was established in France by the German paper maker SCHOELLER&HOESCH GmbH. The company's production facility uses the "melt-blown" process. |
At this time, "melt-blown" products already found many outlets in the markets of hygiene, filtration, isolation, etc….
However, the segment of environment was under-exploited in the 90’s. Supply used to remain quite limited or unappropriated despite growing needs shown on the occasion of shipwrecks or any other accidents leading to spills of hydrocarbons, chemicals, etc….
Thus SCHOELLER&HOESCH started to invest this market and finally extended their activities to industry.

2003 | The company was sold to the Scottish EMPTEEZY Ltd. group of companies, who are a major European specialist manufacturer of secondary containment and waste handling products. The company then becomes SCHOELLER INDUSTRIES. Today SCHOELLER Industries are Europe's leading producer of nonwoven absorbents made of polypropylene microfibres for the protection of the environment and prevention in the industry. They are also the only French manufacturer. |
